Optional Modules - Authority Control

The Authority Control module adds Authority Control capability to M3 or Oasis and supports the Library of Congress MARC 21 Authority Format standard. In M3, Authority Control helps catalogers create consistent headings in bibliographic records. It also improves OPAC access by displaying cross-references and eliminating unpredictable entry points. In Oasis, Authority Control displays cross-references, and cataloging functions will be implemented in the near future. With Authority Control, libraries improve record quality while decreasing cataloging entry time.
